I've had Morrowind for a long time, playing it on and off for a number of years now but I never really got into modding the game. However, after seeing MGSO released I *had* to dive in.
But I have one question - How will changing the options over time affect my game saves?
To illustrate, I installed Morrowind clean;
Then I installed MGSO;
Then I started a new game and saved it;
Then I launched MGSOoptions.exe;
Changed some of the options;
Re-launched my saved game;
And received an error stating that the active plug-ins don't match those of the save game...
Now, I have a feeling it isn't good practice just to go "yeah ok", load the game anyway, then save it again.
But what *should* I do?
I have a feeling Wrye mash is the answer since I assume MGSO doesn't touch the savegames in any way (or does it?). Is there a reason Wrye Mash wasn't included in MGSO (or is it)? SInce it can update your savegames to reflect changes in active plugins (I think...correct me if I'm wrong).
Thanks!
