I got the Meltdown perk for the first time today. It was a lot of fun for long distance sniping, but I can't use energy weapons for close combat anymore. I learned that after quickly depleting my supply of doctor's bags. So I'm thinking I will take up melee for close combat. No more shooting ghouls in the face with lasers anymore.

How do you cope with Meltdown? Maybe taking up guns and using pistols for short range is possible.
