When the Brotherhood of Steel came to the Capital Wasteland their only goals were to recover any valuable technology from D.C. and investigate the reports of Super Mutant activity, but when Elder Lyons saw just how bad life was in the Capital Wasteland he decided that helping the people of the Capital Wasteland was more important. This decision split the Brotherhood of Steel into two, some people agreed with Lyons but there was a good chunk of them who decided abandon Lyons and stick to the original goals. Elder Lyons labeled them as outcasts and traitors, and the Brotherhood Outcasts were born... but it would be years till they locked horns. The BoS made their way to the Pentagon and established the Citadel, and the Outcasts made Ford Independence their home.

As the years passed more and more people found out about the Brotherhood, but at the time no one really cared to know who they were and what they wanted. But that all changed in the early 2240's when Project Purity popped up. The word around the wasteland was that a group of scientests in Rivet City were going to attempt to build a purifier in the Jeferson Memorial and purify the water coming from the Patomic River. There was no way Elder Lyons was going to let the Brotherhood not be apart of this project so he offered to help the scientests with their "Project Purity".

Project Purity went on for ten years but was cancelled when Catherine Gibbons, the woman who came up with the idea in the first place, died giving birth to her son Hunter. James Gibbons, Catherine's husband and the head of Proect Purity, was devestated by his wife's death so he fled to Vault 101 with his infant son Hunter so he could be raised in a safe enviroment. His original plan was to only stay for a few weeks and leave Hunter behind to work on Project Purity but in the end he decided no one was going to raise his son but him.

And so for 19 years James stayed in the Vault without telling his son Hunter anything about his past, or his intentions to leave the Vault. When James finally did leave Vault 101 it caused chaos and Hunter also escaped the Vault in pursuit of his father. It took nearly two months but Hunter found his father and saved him from some crazy Vault. James told his son everything about his past and Project Purity, and how they needed a G.E.C.K. to make the project succesful. From there the two made their way to Rivet City and met with Dr. Lee and got Project Purity up and running again.

Unfortunately Project Purity came to another unexpected halt when the Enclave invaded the Jefferson Memorial and took over Project Purity killing James in the process. Luckily, Hunter, Dr. Lee and a handul of scientests were able to escape via tunells underneath the memorial. They made their way to the Citadel and informed the Brotherhood of what hapened at the memorial. The Brotherhood of Steel promised Hunter and Dr. Lee that they would retake the purifier and they even located a G.E.C.K. and sent a team of Paladins with Hunter to retrieve it. Initially the group was succesful in retrieving the G.E.C.K. but when they were on their way out of the Vault they were ambushed by the Enclave and both Hunter and the G.E.C.K. were brought to Raven Rock.

Somehow Hunter was able to escape Raven Rock with the G.E.C.K. and he was even able to activate the self destruct sequence in the process. When he returned to the Citadel, Elder Lyons was shocked to see that he was still alive and for his accomplishments he was made a member of Lyons Pride. The day after the Brotherhood of Steel was finally able to take the memorial from the Enclave and Hunter was able to use the G.E.C.K. to activate the purifier. Unfortunately, by doing that he put himself into a coma for a month. But when Hunter got out of the coma he continued to fight with the Brotherhood, and in the following year they finaly defeated the Enclave but lost Liberty Prime forever in the process.

A couple years after the war with the Enclave the Brotherhood Outcasts finaly showed their faces and attacked the Brotherhood. But the war between these two was short and sweet for the Brotherhood atleast. The Outcasts were crushed and the ones who managed to get away moved on, but a group of three men decided to stick together and work as bounty hunters. These three men where Kyle Whyte, Henry Ennis, and Dom Hardy. For about ten years the three of them dominated the bounty hunting business in the Capital Wasteland but then they retired and went their seperate ways. Kyle Whyte settled down in Canterburry Commons, he found a nice girl and had a kid with her. That kid would go on to be the father of Maximus Whyte.

After the Brotherhood defeated the Outcasts Elder Lyons passed away and his daughter Sarah took his place as Elder, which allowed Hunter to take Sarah's place as leader of Lyons Pride. In the years that followed Sarah established an embassy in Megaton and Rivet City and built outposts in the smaller towns. The Brotherhood presence made the towns thrive, especially Megaton which started to expand al the way out to Springvale. The people of the Capital Wasteland had no problem with the Brotherhood being around, they were more than welcome.

But as the years passed the people of the wasteland started to not care about the Brotherhood anymore and when Sarah passed and her son James Gibbons the II took her place as Elder it got even worse. Gibbons was a horrible Elder compared to his mother, he was taxing the people of the wasteland and was shoving his nose in everyones business so in 2370 Maximus Whyte, a resident in Canterbury Commons decided to attack the Brotherhood outpost in his town with a group of friends. They actually managed to defeat the Brotherhood and this caused a chain reaction of similair revolts all over the Capital Wasteland.

Later in the year Maximus decided to put together an army that was capable of destroying the Brotherhood of Steel, at first he had troubles. Most people thought he was insane, but after more and more people signed on it started to motivate the non-believers. Ten years passed before Maximus' group was given a name but he finally decided on the Legion of Whyte. Over the next five years the Brotherhood of Steel heard rumors about the Legion of Whyte but they thought nothing of it.

When 2385 came around the Legion of Whyte launched a massive and brutal attack on the Jefferson Memorial and they were nearly victorious. But even still, a message was swnt to the Brotherhood. Now that they knew the Legion of Whyte was indeed real, and that they meant business the Brotherhood of Steel decided to do something that was drastic and desperate, for them at least, recruit outsiders. Surprisingly there was still a decent amount of Brotherhood of Steel supporters in the Capital Wasteland, and most if not all of them were happy to join the Brotherhood and fight the Legion of Whyte.

It's been 15 years since the Legion of Whyte attacked the Jefferson Memorial and there haven't been any major battles between the Legion of Whyte and the Brotherhood of Steel since then, just the odd skirmish. But there is a rumor that the Legion of Whyte is planning on attacking the Jeferson Memorial once again. This rumor has the Brotherhood paranoid so they have sent a large number of troops to the Memorial incase the Legion of Whyte does attack. Things are about to get interesting in the Capital Wasteland... what role will you play?

Rules

1. This isn't really a rule, but I want you guys to know that the Capital Wasteland is a more realistic place than it is in Fallout 3. First off, there is no more pre war food, at all. Secondly, the towns are much bigger and have way more people. Also, the wasteland is a much more violent place, even in 2400. Threare not as many raiders as there once once, but they are still very, very dangerous. Same with slavers.

2. No Power Armor. Even if you are apart of the Brotherhod this rule still applys. The reason for this is because it's to damn powerful, it literallly makes you a walking tank, and also there is very few suits left that work in the Capital Wasteland and they are worn by the Brotherhoods best men.

3. No over powered characters.

4. Follow forum rules.

5. Have fun
