Sometimes they will lock a thread for getting necro'ed, sometimes they lock them because one already exists on the same topic. Personal discretion fail, I guess...

Anyway, My most awesome death was on the raider overpass just north of the Springdale school.
I had fought my way up to the car bridge, and was crouched behind a jersey barrier for cover.
I decided to stand up, and change position by strafing across an opening while putting out some "fire for effect" rounds.
I didn't realize how close I was to a broken section of the overpass, and stepped into the gaping nothingness.
I :facepalm: as I plummeted 100 feet to my death.

I posted this in another thread once, and got a pretty good chuckle when someone replied how comical it must have looked from the raider's perspective.

i took on megaton with a combat knife even stockholdem or what ever(the sniper guy at the entrance) he even came down i got killed by falling off lucus simms crowsnest

being at the Capitol building on Very Hard. 3 Overlords, 5 Masters, 4-6 mutants

3 bars of health left, I had nothing but broken combat armor, and a combat knife.(well I had a gatling lase, but no ammo for it) sneak attack critical on a master with a minigun, took it, revealed myself and went all-out on them, they all died except for an overlord with a super sledge which I had failed to see, with no ammo left, I dropped everthing and got smacked in the face by a 20 pound hammer. My head exploded and my body fell to its knees and then fell to the ground. I then watched him, in a 3rd person view as the overlord laughed at me.

I tried to venture to Vault 87's entrance to see how long I could last.
... I lasted about ten seconds. >__>;

Another was trying to get 'baptized' in radiation for the Holy Water quest. I was using their bathtub to get the rads I needed, and I forgot that once you hit a certain level of radiation, you can't jump and I couldn't escape the tub.
It was rather pathetic, really. XD;

My first time playin the game, on the southern part of the map....on my way to the library. I was crouching on the highway with the giant traffic jam sniping at raiders. They got shots off at me but kept missing....just heard bullets 'plinking' all around me. After taking out the 8 or so raiders I stood up all smug and satisfied and turned around to survey the scene, to make sure there weren't any more around. When I turned around I noticed about 6 cars burning right behind me and thought, "this is probably bad".

Then the world went white and me and my body parts were up in the clouds.

lol, kind of like slowly boiling a live frog, huh?

Yeah, pretty much. XD
It was also pretty sad since my companion was RIGHT THERE and he could have helped me, but he just watched me slowly get poisoned to death. >:

Miranda with five others got ambushed by (Thanks MMM) two sets of enclave with advance flame throwers into the mix near Vault 87.

also this one time i was exploring an i came across talon company mercs and Supermutants when i finished em i went to see what was in the shopping cart cages then BAM behemoth i killed him with one fat man nuke and a 10mm but the funny thing is when i won he smashed me and bam death....

I walked into that alley with the mini-nukes and the psycho guy preaching nonsense anbout the worm. Big fireball, and bits of me go flying around.

And then there was the time I jumped off some balcony or other in Megaton, and my smashed corpse went bouncing across the roof like a flapjack.

And then there was the time I hit Betty, and got zapped and wound up doing like a double cartwheel in midair. And since I was playing a girl, my dress went flying up, though I was beyond modesty at that point.

Prepared for days to go into old onley for the tesla coil. Wearing a full set of T-51b power armour with liquid cooling and enhanced strength, with DR totalling 100. Walked near, killed a deathclaw fairly easily with my trusty scoped Plasma Rifle, then turned around and saw a Deathclaw Matriarch (Gee, thanks MMM.) Apparently even sprinting away while putting my PA in overdrive wasn't /quite/ fast enough to get away. The first hit knocked me to the ground, the next two killed me. Then a car nearby exploded for no apparent reason, but it was awesome nontheless.

I’ve been playing this game for about 9 months, every day (almost).

Sooo…. I decided to take on the Deceleration of Indep. Quest at level 11. (I wanted Sydney’s SMG, and thought I should finish “Stealing Independence” while was at it. I should have stopped there…but Noooo…

No problem, right?! Started with my usual 5 stims, but I did take all 3 of my stealth-boys, all the mire-lurk meat, and water I could carry, and an extra combat shotgun for repair.

Holy Crap!!! That was one of the best attempts since I started this game!

I thought I could sneak/creep my way through this; Nope! I made it almost through, only to die being greedy. Oh well, I’ll try again. I think this time; I’ll bring extra food, extra stealth-boys, and a few more pulse-grenades!!!

As for the “dramatic death” - Sentry Robots, with a Mr. Gutsy and his Plasma rifle on the side; stomping my butt ; no matter how many “so-called, sneaky plas-grenades” I tossed, throwing down up close with a combat-shotgun, “fast”-stimping my last few medical-shots, to little avail.

I still went down.

A Behemoth hit me with a fire hydrant.

I expected gun shots, or a stomp to mash me into a ground but never knew a fire hydrant can actually hurt someone (unless you are a skate boarder)

Knocked unconscious by a rocket explosion. I survived the explosion, but it blew me off the bridge. I survived the fall, because I landed in the water. Then I died of radiation poisoning while unconscious.

Mmm maybe not so dramatic.
