I've never been able to play a modded Morrowind on the PC because I'm technologically gimped. I'd love nothing more, but mods have never worked for me.

I want to heavily mod Morrowind on Steam and play it, but I'm having the same problem as I've always had. I figure I want to start with MGE, so I download that. I extract it to a folder in my desktop, then manually move it to the Program Files -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Morrowind (not exact, but just to show you that I know the process) I move the files over, and they're in the Morrowind file and the Data Files have some additional stuff brought in from the MGE folder.

Cool. It should work then? No. That does absolutely nothing.

Oh, okay, I guess I'll try Better Bodies. This one has an installer. I direct it to the Morrowind Date Files folder, then it installs and tells me it was installed improperly.

So a question could be: how do I get Better Bodies and MGE to work.

Another question could be: How do I install mods into Morrowind through Steam? I'm desperate to play a modded Morrowind.

I vaguely remember something about needing to redate mods and disabling overlays.

Then again I avoid steam like a rancid pile of crap.
