Within the Spreading Darkness!

Within a sanctioned house sheltered by the Morag Tong, an infant was born. An infant of Dark Elven lineage; born of the highest nobility and under the sign of the serpent. The dunmer boy was named Kafukal. Within the child’s blooded eye was fire that of which any member of the tong has. In fact this fire shone even brighter than the esteemed ranks of the guild. He was destined to lead the tong to greater glory. Taken from the bosom of the mother, the shrouded figures dressed in fine robes took turns holding the boy up praising this new life in service to Mephala.
The Mahellu clan, a highly respected group of Individuals; both within the great houses and the ashlanders. They were a prominent family from an outside point of view, but when darkness swallowed the sun, another side of the family shone through. They were members of the Morag Tong guild of Assassins based in Morrowind. The family of Mahellu was one of the original family’s that were around during the very creation of the guild. Their lives serve one purpose; to serve the tong with Mephala’s blessing.
By the time the boy could walk he was trained in the art of shadow and magic. A “Nightblade” some would call. His father and mother were both killed during a contract. They were sent to assassinate a high ranking official in the Telvanni. He doesn’t remember much about them, nor does he want to. His family is the tong, nothing will ever change that. Wherever the tong chooses to rest its head that’s where he will be.
He wasn’t a full-fledged member of the guild until he completed an initiation contract. These contracts are difficult as they are given only to those of direct lineage to the guilds finding. “I will uphold my family’s honor and raise this guild from the depths of Oblivion into greater glory,” Said Kafukal. Kafukal had grown into a handsome young dunmer with many women trying to court him. He has little time for love. He had shoulder length black streaked hair braided in the back in a winding knot. His eyes were red as fire with his skin ash stricken. His physique was fit, but not overly abound with muscular activity. He held an ebony dagger with him at all times within his fine clothes of blue and grey.
He had perfected his Star-Curse. Those under the sign of the Serpent they say they are most blessed yet most cursed. It has a penalty for use; He can poison others with a single touch but, fatigues himself greatly after each use. His initiation contract was tomorrow. He had to prepare. Walking down the busy streets of Balmora he was shouldered by a drunken commoner, no doubt from Sujamma judging from his breath. This made him irritated “N’wah,” Said Kafukal unable to control his rage. He chased the poor dunmer fellow and grabbed his collar. Unable to break free from Kafukal’s hold he sobered up a bit at the jerk, realizes his mistake and apologizes. Kafukal’s eyes widen as an idea appeared in his mind. He grins to himself fiendishly then offers the man a deal. The man shocked at the idea he reluctantly agrees.
Kafukal had to murder the same Telvanni official his parents had failed to kill. Although he had to intentions to avenge them, his duty was to the tong and nothing else. The tong had arranged a special Silt strider to take him to Sadrith Mora. He had a guest riding along with him. The contract was to take at least a couple of weeks to prepare. When they had arrived in sadrith Mora he ordered the dunmer to unload his cart. They arrived in an inn not too far from the Telvanni tower. Kafukal had a week to prepare his plan and so he did.
The time to strike was now. The man he met in Balmora was set in place. It was now or never. The man ignorant of his “true” role in this was doing as ordered. He was to report an incident of death to the Ofiicial. Kafukal had given the man a Fire feebleness necklace that negates any and all fire resistances in an area of the man. The man appeared at the gate of the tower guarded by Dremora. The man asked to see the official. But, of course they checked for weapons then let him through. Kafukal was in position. He was stationed on an adjacent tower with his silt strider stationed nearby ready to unleash his Destructive force upon the tower itself. The Necklace made the ward of resist fire disappear. Finally after a huge incantation he unleashed a fireball the size of a bull netch at the tower. It blazed through the night like a second sun for a few seconds. The next instant the tower was falling from the sky. Kafukal satisfied with the end result. Shrouded himself in the shadows, and left Sadrith Mora toward his home.
Kafukal could see his guild banner waving in the wind like that to welcome him and his success of the deed. This was his first contract and it couldn’t have been easier. It may have been expensive for that necklace but, well worth the cost. Kafukal later became Grandmaster of the Morag Tong. He became like Mephala himself, the shadow is his ally. No one in the guild even sees him anymore but, they know he’s there watching the tong and bringing it to its high time glory. Within the spreading Darkness he greets the never ending bloodshed upon others. As they bask in fear all will know the name of the MORAG TONG!

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I had writing it! :)
