Psijic Member In Skyrim

Using the third edition Pocket Guides (3E 432) we know that over the course of about a thousand years before the book was printed/researched there had only been seventeen new members inducted into the Psijic Order and that in the last two years before the book was printed thirty members joined.

So if we assume that the Order's normal recruitment policy goes on the first example then the Psijic recruit one member approximately every fifty to sixty years. To be honest I don't know why I am even writing all this, it is all mostly irrelevant to my question.

What I wanted to know is whether you think that the Psijics that we see in Skyrim are these new members recruited in the very late Third Era and therefore two-hundred years old at a minimum or whether they are the much older recruits, possibly bordering a thousand, or beyond. Did they strike you as ancient mages or do you think that they are the youth among the Order? Or a mix of both old and new?

I am asking this for a roleplay/lore reason, that is why it is not in the Skyrim section (I don't really trust the guys over there too much).
