The Death of Nintendo

I know this is a forum on a site for a hardcoe PC game, but we've ALL played on a Nintendo system at some point in our lives.
Don't you dare deny it you schmuck, you know who you are.
I grew up playing Metroid, it's my fire/redstone to my tnt. My PB to my J. My Elvis to jelly donuts.
But as of the past 4 years, I just don't care for 13 Mario games a year.
Endless Pokemans. (Back in my day we only had 151)
FREAKING RE-RELEASES! Though I wouldn't mind Majora's Mask and F-Zero GX on my 3DS.
They think the fat stereotypical Italian plumber will keep them floating forever. Eventually his bloated body is gonna sink with them holding on for dear life. (Think Titanic, without the door)
Zelda WAS hardcoe. But then it got cartoony and cute. Link isn't adorable, he's a badass with a sword and a speech impediment.
Metroid hasn't been made exclusively by Nintendo since Zero Mission. I liked Other M, but Nintendy did the series right.

The cute and adorable approach isn't gonna hold forever. I don't own a Wii U, but honestly if C3 came out on it I would have one now.
They need to open up to more hardcoe players with great online games. They can keep the cute-n-cuddly and moms, pops, grandmas, and whatnot can stay for the lighthearted fun.
They NEED to open the gates to players like us and say "Have a blast, Wii want U to."

Thoughts? Feels? Rage?
