Fallout 1, 2, and Windows 8

My last computer died and the new one I bought has Windows 8 on it. It runs Fallout 3 and New Vegas fine but I heard that Fallout 1 and 2 cause really bad errors with Windows 8. Would running them in compatibility mode for Windows XP (or older), fix that or do I have to do something else?

They run fine for me under Windows 8. I had to apply high-resolution patches to get the graphics working properly, but I had to do that under Win 7 too.

They run perfectly for me as well on Windows 8. It's Fallout 3 that won't work for me on Windows 8. :sadvaultboy:

Yea.. Still don't understand how to fix my version.. Tried some dll thing but nothing :(

I've been able to get Fallout 3 running (barely) but where would you download graphics patches at?
