Okay, I have been playing Fallout New Vegas for a while, and I started the DLC. I've reached the point where I have found Dean Domino, my last person to find, and we are all at the fountain. But I have a question, on all these walkthroughs and helpful videos, and after they kill/knock out the Ghost People, they can search them. But before I can ask my main question, I have to ask this. Whenever I attack and phase them, for lack of a better word, they fall on the ground but they don't come back up, at all, I don't even have to dismember them, why is this? In the videos, whenever they finish off the Ghost People, the top left of the screen reads "Ghost Seeker is unconscious", or something like that, but that doesn't happen with me. They just fall on the ground and don't come back up.

Now that that is out of the way, here is my main question. Whenever I finish them off, I can't search them. I have the option to search them, and I click enter (I'm using it on PC by the way) but nothing happens. I just hear a clicking sound, but an inventory display does not pop up. Why can't I search them? I've tried dismembering them after they fall on the ground, and then searching them but it does not work. I am in dire need of a 'Bear Trap Fist' and 'Throwing Spears' but I can't get them from the Ghost People! But so far I've been making due with police pistols, mines, and the holorifle. But they are limited, so I need to find something self-sufficient, I've been using the Cosmic Knife for a while, but it's not getting the job done fast enough.

Any thoughts?

If your that desperate for a bear trap fist/throwing spears why don't you just use mods?

Maybe he doesn't like to use mods.
Personally i don't, they ruin the game. Maybe thats why i'm on PS3 :glare:

Are you sure you actually killed them? I never had any problem searching them once they were dead, killing them.. that was the hard part.

Maybe hes on console?

You may have gotten the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost_Hunter perk, which you unlock by having a conversation with Dog. With this perk, "Ghost People are much more likely to die outright, even without being dismembered or disintegrated."



This one I don't know about. Sounds like some kind of bug.

i would just like a game that ACTUALLY WORKS.!!!!!!!! these lazy programmers left me with a game so full of flaws...WTF ?????? what do i do?????? i can't enter the strip. crashes every time. start the game over???
