Memospore anolysis IV

First time caller, long time listener.
I'm a bit curious, and this seems as decent a place as any to ask:
when thinking about the memospores, should we think about the images in context of our world, or within the realm of the lore? For example; would it make more sense to look at the shiva imagery as representative of shiva, or just of some crazy four-armed thing (like melphala) within the tes universe? Is Tom Waits a daedra?

Both. A lot of real life lore is similar to TES lore, not in the least because TES lore draws heavily from it. Think of the real life stuff as metaphorical, I'm guessing.

Id say they are lore images translated into images from our world.
Same way that the people in Skyrim seem to speak English to us.

That seems like a good interpretation to me.

Also, yes: Tom Waits is a Daedra.

Hmmm....

So, tying this into the memospores, could the message originally have been unstable research about the origin of Talos that was corrupted as it was sent? Or was the message originally meant for us, and we are left to salvage what's left? As for Numidium, I'd like to know more about its state as one of the Earth Bones (I think? can't check) and how that relates the the nature of the divine.

And also how to pronounce Alandro Sul's name, because it's been bothering me for a while.

The Thalmor apparently did do some research into Talos's origins, at least according to the Great Thalmor / Varlavarvarda (sp?) conversation that took place a good long time ago. It was unofficial as far as we know, but Varla did turn up a time or two later IIRC in other threads.

Also, Baltimore. And Oblivion was a 'fourth episode' in the TES series.
