In August 2076 the United states military needed to come up with a way to stem the rioting and boost the morale of U.S. citizens. They turned to the media for help.
Using a secret bunker located beneath the streets of Washington D.C., and a new, experimental VR technology, they teamed up with the NNA, the National Network of America, and converted the bunker into a T.V. studio.
The show, simply titled Armageddon is born.
The rules are simple. A group of contestants are placed into VR simulation pods and are placed into a virtual setting littered with weapons and proceed to try and be the last man/woman standing. The winner will receive cash and prizes including a brand new Chryslus automobile.
October 2076 - The show premieres for the first time breaking all records.
December 2076 - The show becomes the highest rated show in America
January 11 2077 - The show celebrates the victory at Anchorage. The contestants invade a virtual China. The one who kills the most wins.
January 17 2077 - Power outage in D.C. One of the VR contestants suffers brain damage due to a power surge.
January 18 2077 - Show goes on hiatus.
February 14 2077 - Safety devices are installed in the pods. If the power should go out. The contestant will be placed into stasis until the pod can be opened safely. The power cell for the chamber is upgraded to a fusion battery with a shelf life of 300 years. Fusionex Batteries becomes major sponsor for the show
- Show returns to the air. Valentine's day massacre special is a huge hit
March 23 - The shows crew are replaced by robots. The show is run completely by remote
October 23 2077 3:00 P.M. E.S.T. - The shows next episode begins to air
