Hey everyone,

Just have a quick question regarding monster level in Morrowind. Do the monsters you encounter have a set level for the monster type? For example, are all Cliff Racers the same level as each other, or all guars the same level as each other? Or do they vary by location/random chance?

I ask because I was practically 1 hitting kwama foragers near Balmora (I'm level 7) and they did very little damage to me, but then I encountered one near Vas (island far north of the mainland) and it kicked the crap out of me, I killed it but it was a very close fight. I checked my stats to see if I was debuffed or something, but everything was normal.

Do monsters have different leveling depending on where you find them?

All NPCs and creatures have fixed stats except one, Gedna Revel, in tribunal.

May be you encountered a blighted vareity. Both of them are named "Kwama Forager" but blighted vareity is tougher.
