Crysis 3 - The Potential Is There. Crytek Your Not Far Away

Post » Sat Feb 23, 2013 11:55 pm

First and foremost, I have only tried the Multiplayer aspect of Crysis 3, so I cannot comment on the Singleplayer element.

I jumped into MP last night, and immediately recognised an improvement over the farce that Crysis 2 descended into.

Crysis 3 certainly has a lot more potential than the 2nd installment. It's a little rough around the edges but it's got bags and bags of potential.

Rough edges :

Game can still be laggy, players in your sights then blam, they are 3 foot away.

Host Migration can still be an issue with the game being forced to end as the host migration fails.

Sound - Gunfire can be a second or two behind, your firing your weapon but you don't hear anything for a few seconds.

Kill Cam - Still can be erratic with the sound and the replay of the death not seeming in sync with what actually happened.

If I can think of anymore I will add them, please feel free to add any of your concerns.

Summary :

Crytek, this seems to be a step up from the lagfest that was Crysis 2 - well done.

If you can smooth these rough edges out with patches etc I think we will have a FPS that is as good as anything out there.

It just needs a little more polish and this could beat your Black Ops etc.

Over to you Crytek.

Edit - Title is meant to say 'you're' but it won't fit in.
