Yeah, I do tech for a living. I also went to college for Multi-Media/Game Design. My modelling and texturing are pretty decent (not good enough for industry, or so I've learned) but I know enough to be dangerous, as they say.
I think the guys at Crytek will get a kick out of a few of the articles. I really talk them up. And I should; I used to frequent the CryDev forums (when I still had the time to work on my side-projects) and never had anything less than an awesome experience. Cry-Tom and Cry-Adam are awesome guys.
If the one about the game-tech sounds a bit like a Crytek love-fest, it's because it mostly is. These guys innovate and redefine the gaming industry in ways that other developers only dream of. So everytime they release a new Crysis, I positively drool over seeing what they can make my constantly upgrading machines do.
