A little advice please?

Ok, so I have only played FO3 for about 20 minutes way back when it came out on the 360, but am seriously considering getting the GoTY addition for the PC. I'm an MMO player but am very disenchanted with the current state of the MMO games and am looking for something else to fill my time. I'm in a toss up now between Mass Effect 2 and FO3, I'm kinda leaning toward Fallout because of all the DLC, seems like it would keep me busy for awhile and to me Mass Effect seems pretty linear and more of a FPS then an RPG. Was hoping some of you might be able to give some advice specially from anyone that has played both. Only have the budget for one game right now and the choice is killing me, both games are made by great companies and both look so good.

You can never go wrong getting Fallout 3. I was skeptical when I first bought it, but it quickly became my favorite game of alltime. It has a lot of FPS elements in the combat though, but it is a very open world game where you can do pretty much anything you want. So if you can handle times when you have to free aim in fights then I think you will enjoy it, but if you are mostly a turn based combat fan you might not like it. VATS is OK, but it's not really the same as turn based combat. Anyway if I had to choose between ME2 or FO3 I would pick FO3 anytime even after nearly 2 years of playing it. :fallout:

I've only played Mass Effect 1 & 2 a little bit and they were pretty good, but if you want a rich RPG which will last you hundreds of hours, Fallout 3 is your game.

There's plenty to see and do in Fallout, and with the DLCs, you'll be lost in a vast world that should capture your imagination like no game has before.

EDIT: There's probably going to be a lot of biased opinions here considering the section we're in, so I recommend you post this on the Community Discussion, as the crowed will be a little more neutral.

I'd say it's a no-brainer. Fallout 3 has an editor, Mass Effect doesn't. So you can keep your game new and fresh by adding mods for alot longer than you could with just a single play through of Mass Effect.

Thanks for the opinions, downloading FO3 now. Was leaning toward it pretty hard, just needed a little push.
