Just Finished Campaign: Mindblowing

Post » Sun Feb 24, 2013 2:19 pm

Let me tell the conclusion at the beginning: Whiners, haters, stupid reviewers etc. Kill this awesome franchise and then move on to crappy games being proud of your accomplishment. Because that's what you deserve. Just screw you. And fans with the obsession of Crysis 1 and Warhead; please go back to your caves where your favorite episode of the series lie and play it forever. Because you want a C1 clone afterall...

This is a game for f.cks sake, not a sci-fi novel; detailed story, being flawless, excellent handling of the plot etc. are not necessarily necessary. However story is still fine. Just fill in the blanks with your imagination if you have one. Because the best stories leave gaps for you to fill in, to imagine yourself...

It took me around 8-9 hours to finish the campaign and I didn't even fully explore the levels. Apparently game can be finished in 5 hours if you play on easy level. Lol. Any game svcks at that level.

Hunter... That actually fits very well to the New York jungle, not to mention beautiful graphics. I felt myself truly a hunter from the very beginning to the end. Bow is the perfect weapon for such atmosphere and a great decision by Crytek. AI was good, as good as it can be, challenging from time to time. I enjoyed every moment of the campaign and will definitely play again. It was perfectly balanced as well.

Finally Crytek: You did a great job this time. But why, why, why? Why did you abandon Crysis 2 like an orphan before fixing it, which was your biggest mistake. And bad reputation left from that apparently following like an evil spirit.

I hope this won't be the end...

I will miss the Nanosuit <3

Let's hope Crytek won't drop the support too quickly.

Oh, and btw.: @Master-Jedi: I am a Crysis / -WARHEAD obsessed gamer, but still I love Crysis 3 ;)

Campagin was awesome. Enjoyed it more than the mp so far

EDIT: took me 4:24 hours on post human warrior and no I didn't rush. I actually played really slow and stealthy.

You crazy.

It took me exactly 8 hours and 15 seconds on the easiest difficulty setting, did all the secondary objectives and collected a lot of stuff.

Hunted down every single one of them, Cell and Ceph? Because you are a "Hunter". Would be shame if you'd pass the prey to move forward. :P

Took me 9 hours and I did a mild amount of exploring on Super Soldier. Idk how you guys are beating the game in 5 hours...

It's called "making s#!+ up on the internet". Although I'm sure if you play the game on Recruit and just sprint through everything you can finish it in 4 hours. My first playthrough clocks in at about 8. It's definitely a bit shorter than C2, but the levels are larger, so how much you get out of the game really depends on how you play it.

Anyway, gotta agree with OP here - this campaign is awesome, and probably the best in the series. Crytek pretty much took everything that was great about the first two and distilled it into this. My only nitpick is the optimization, really - my PC runs C2 on High settings more or less flawlessly, but this one, um, not so much.

As for the comparisons to C1, I'm sorry, but first of all, it wasn't that open, just more open than C2, and the last section was basically a corridor shooter followed by a really dumb bossfight. Not that I don't like the game or anything, but the sequels aren't as different as the Internet Complain Squad makes them out to be.

It's a confirmed bug. Timer resets after you die and respawn again, something like that..

I agree, C3 SP is awesome. But to be honest, C1 was the best. Each game in the franchise has something cool and epic, but I like the C1 SP the most.

What did you say? Certainly did not collect everything, but as you can see i clearly did not rush and "took my time"; I tried to collect all the suit upgrade points as you can see, i did not get them all, but collecting the rest of the stuff surely won't take more than 30 minutes, and that's on Post-Human-Warrior as you can see.

Also it's not a "bug"; the time shown is the time you actually needed to play every part once, if you die and repeat a part, this time is not added.
