Holy Bad Maps Batman!

Good god Crytek...

First of all the hit detection; its broken. Also it seems like the game randomly switches up the power of melee attacks and weapons. There have been numerous times where I or an enemy player should have been dropped at point blank range after unloading 3/4 of a full clip, but instead continue to dodge them like police shooting at bad guys in a movie. Its ridiculous, almost comical if it weren't so frustrating.

Finally the maps. I will tell you this; there is a reason the beta only had Airport and Museum- they're some of the only maps that are any good. Aside from Hell's Kitchen, Financial District, Penn Station, and Hydro Dam? Flat out not fun to play. The building/terrain placement and hidden corridors are either awkwardly placed and too close together which leads to being confused as to where you are and getting mowed down from behind before being able to join your team - or there is too much open space amongst a few positions that can be used to unfair advantage. It really seems as if they tried to just make them look cool instead of having them function like good multiplayer maps. There is little symmetry in any of them.

Couple the bad maps with the rest of the numerous problems cry3 MP is having and it makes for an unsatisfying online experience. Seriously I had more fun playing the original Crysis that came with my pre order. I really hope Crytek gets it together soon, I would be willing to overlook dodgy maps if they just fix the GAMEPLAY!!

Oh and if you use the Typhoon, you're dead to me. To me it means you don't have the skills to use a real gun. Shame on you

Dude the game svcks and crytek are thives. They want a quick buck and that's it. You should sell the game before it drops in worth.

For the sake of my sanity and $60 I'm going to hold on to what little faith I have left in Crytek and weather this storm of matchmaking inconsistency in hopes that they will one day soon make this the awesome game that it can be.

Plus I'm going to keep playing (for now) for two more reason:
-I have a severely crippled left thumb after a NYE party (dont ask) so once its slightly better I might be a bit better as well
-I got to be pretty decent with the predator bow, and killing with the predator is immensely satisfying as everyone on here knows >:)

So yes, while Crytek may be thieves, I will admit defeat for now having been swindled yet again. Instead of giving up, I will keep playing.

BUT FOR GODS SAKE FIX YOUR PRODUCT CRYTEK!!!!!!

Let me rephrase that; I have faith in CRYSIS. I love this game! I played Crysis 2 religiously. The community is made up of for the most part players who are genuinely challenging to play against and keep me on my toes. The mechanics of this game are awesome and so are the ideas behind it. But you're right, the guys behind the curtains seem to be pissing on us console players without the courtesy of calling it rain...Whether they are too busy keeping the PC players high up on their pedestals, are inept, or just genuinely do not give a rat's donk about us is anyone's guess. Either way we have a right to feel cheated.

But I'm still gonna keep playing until its obvious they aren't making any moves to help us. They had better move their a**** too.

Once you learn the maps you will like them more. I hated Central Cavern at first but right now it just might be my favorite map in the game.

the maps are good imo. Love the various levels of them and they are all pretty large. Hit detection is pretty spotty at best and it takes a ton more hits to take someone down. it went from using one clip for 2 kills to nearly using a whole clip for one guy and partial clip of hammer. not sure what has changed but killing takes more shots except for the running shotgunners which are annoying as hell, OHK for them.

Way to much whine way to little in way of constructive criticism.

Maps are fine you're just slow on the uptake.

Hit detection is no more/no less f***ed than every other multiplayer.

You have a problem with the Typhoon? Have you ever used the Predator Bow? See how that works....
