"You need a DX11 capable GPU to play Crysis3" DESKTOP Solut?

Post » Sun Feb 24, 2013 6:08 pm

I have a Windows 7 Professional 32-bit desktop with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 Graphics card and I have DX11 installed.. I've reinstalled DX11, I've reinstalled the new drivers that supposedly fix this problem.. Twice.. I've tried going into the NVIDIA control panel but I don't have an option to choose "high performance nvidia processer" under the "select graphics processer" pulldown because the pulldown does not exist for me.

I've tried everything I've found on the internet so far but it seems theres no solution.. I just spent $60.00 on this game that I can't even play when I was going to buy 2 games for $40.00 all together.. it seems like a big waste.. I'm very disappointed that there isn't a fix and no one is working on this.. It seems like no one is looking for a solution and ignoring the problem all together.

I really would like to play this game!

Is anyone out there?

Hate to break it to ya friend but the GT 240 isn't a directX 11 capable graphics card. It supports up to directX 10.1.

Yep, as above, sorry, but that isn't a DX11 card. Sure you can install DX11, but you cannot use it. The GT240 is a very weak card in its own regard, perhaps its time for an upgrade.

the Geforce GT240 supports only DX10 (direct x version 10). a sound- and graphic-accelerator. well, crysis 3 requires gpu with dx11 support.
that mean, you need minimal nvidia geforce gtx4xx or amd/ati hd5xxx. so, that is not a issue or mistake. there are good argumentfully reasons, for this. its just the graphic-qualy, dx11 makes that possibly, to make game developers much better quality.

When you get your new graphics card...update your Windows to 64 bit.
