How to use Predator bow?

Post » Mon Feb 25, 2013 7:29 am

Ok, im not a whiner and i believe everything can be turned into at least something.
But lately ive changed from using LMG's and Shotguns (yeah.. sad ha, 1 hipfire bullet :P thats why i used those XD) to Predator Bow.
Now i simply tried it for quite a few hours, but its really really hard to use. Even though i have a nice accuracy and barely miss anything it just feels as if the moment an enemy gets hit (he ofcourse has auto-armor.. apparently required to play multiplayer :P) he simply turns around and puts 3 bullets in my head before im either able to hide, shoot another arrrow or avoid the bullets (jumping, manouvring etc.).. which even auto-armor cannot protect me from :P

Now i never get mad and the kills i do manage to make with bow are very satisfying, so i went and looked up some predator bow videos/guides.
Now for some reason all of them involve noob enemies sitting still, not being able to shoot jumping people and for some reason almost never have auto-armor :P so that did not help me that much either.

So... are there any special tricks/tips about how to use Predator Bow against people who simply hipfire you within half a second the moment they see and have auto-armor protecting them against the first shot? Should i ADS or fire with no pulling back? Any tactics? any special settings, perks or stuff i should use? anything? :D

(not meant as an aggresive post, i dont mind games with very very low TTK, but in my opinion it seems like the bow is slightly out of pace with the other weapons, so i might need some help getting to the same level i had with automatic weapons while using this bow)

(also you are allowed to call me noob, just remember to add why im a noob and how i should improve :P)

I use it almost exclusively and do fairly well with it.

Lead moving targets.

If it stands still, shoot it.

Use the toggle keys to switch between arrow versions (you can kill several enemies with a well-placed air burst arrow).

Use your grenade to flush multiple targets; if you cook the grenade first, then you'll get at least one kill and damage someone else, making your next arrow shot very deadly indeed.

Try to catch enemies as they switch to stealth. One arrow shot = Instant Death.

Learn to bunny-hop and fire. Makes you a harder target and may give you the few extra seconds you need to land a much needed arrow.

If you hit an enemy charging right at you with a full-power draw, don't waste your time drawing again; punch him in the face.

Keep your distance, but remember the bow isn't great at extreme ranges.

Use the retriever perk. You'll actually get your kill-streak rewards more easily that way. This will result in more kills.

Don't use the bow in maps that are clearly CQC; like Skyline and such. Save your bow usage for more open maps.

The one that toggles arrowtypes.. what button is that exactly since i dont seem to be able to find it at the keybind schedule? I do have the one that lets you use your mouse to choose one, but any button does that faster?
