I'm guessing the suit "rebuilt" Prophet from Alcatraz' flesh.

In Crysis 2 we learn that basically the suit is running itself and that Alcatraz isn't in control. While Prophet wore the suit it absorbed his personality, etc due to symbiosis. It's still a piece of hardware, it just thinks it's Prophet.

During the course of the campaign the nanites are let loose to do whatever they please so they can basically turn into anything now. It's still the suit but essentially now it can change into or take on the appearance of anything. As the suit thinks it's Prophet it takes on his appearance pre-Nanosuit.

Simply put, the suit evolved it's appearance to become Prophet.

So Alcatraz just suddenly disappears? His mind is gone, then his body gets transformed. Its pretty stupid if you ask me. They didn't even try and incorporate Alcatraz or the transformation process. It just happened.

they killed of nomad
then kill alcatraz without even speaking his name for one second in C3.

Do you know what story they could have had when the main character being two minds in one body?
that just a wast of story right there.

I'm sure it cropped up during the story writing process. It just seems they would rather go for a story more focused on the suit than a conflict between Alcatraz and Prophet.

Thing is, both prophet and Alcatraz are dead. The suit 'became' prophet with alcatraz's body and then was taken further when the nanites were released from their restraints to become whatever it wanted. It's neither of them yet both of them. I could see potential for the suit to shift personalities since Alcatraz is still in there somewhere...it could become him too if it 'wanted' since the personality is still 'in storage' according to information collected. It just seems lawrence barnes is the dominant personality of prophet.
