Crysis 3 FPS Drop

Post » Tue Feb 26, 2013 2:26 am

Hi everyone, I'm having the same problem as the guy in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGL9Cawl1BU

My rig:

580 SLI
i7-3820 3,60Ghz
16GB Mem

Everything set to High (not very high as the video), and I have those weird fps drops at certain parts.

I tried "medium" settings and still getting the fps drop to 30. Also tried disabling SLI and nothing...

I am going to keep playing multiplayer but it seems some kind of driver or game error.

Any idea?

There is a common problem with Sli driver installs that stops sli working when you upgrade nvids driver , by default Sli will be diabled in nvidia control panel and will need re enabling,
then download driver sweeper and remove all nvid reg entrys with it,
then restart pc into Safe Mode (important)
now reinstall nvid driver an restart pc , dont forget to re enable sli in nvidia control panel

Thanks, but, my Sli is working, I am not talking about that. Even If I diable SLI and put medium settings I get the 30 fps drop. If you see the video you will understand that it has nothing to do with SLI.

It is a game optimisation issue.
It is all over the forums, eratic fps drops and averages... For many cards... eg, 570,580,670,680,690,7970,6970
Most definetly an optimisation issue. EA and nvidia said my specs were more than enough to play C3 and they couldnt tell me how to improve FPS becuase I had already tried most things.

We just need to wait to hear from Crytek...
