GPUs NOT having performance problems

Post » Thu Feb 28, 2013 7:05 am

It seems many people are having performance problems, either performance much lower than expected, or big fps drops in some situations.

Are some GPUs less affected by these problems? If your performance is OK, post your setup here.

i7 3770k 3.5 Ghz (4.0 Ghz Turbo)
HD 7970 ghz Edition 3 GB (13.2 Beta 6 Driver)
Asrock Z77 Extreme6 PCI-e 3.0 mobo
8 gigs Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3 1600
Sound Blaster 3d Recon Fatal1ty Pro
Win 7 64

I haven't had a single issue with the game, retail or beta. It runs and looks beautiful in campaign and multiplayer with all the candy cranked up @ 1080p. People call the ATi cards low end or budget, but this single 7970 paired with the i7, both at stock speeds, is powering through this game with ease. I couldn't be happier. =)

Well "Good Performance" seems relative to the individual. I've seen people playing games at 30 - 40 fps and think its running smooth as butter.
In my case if my fps drop to bellow 110, I notice and am pissed off. Some kind of 120htz bug where dropping bellow 120 fps causes odd lags of some kind.

To me this is a performance issue.

i7 920 @ 4.0
SLI ENGTX 580 OC
12GB DDR3 @ 1600ish

I'm not sure if you're playing on 120Hz or 60Hz monitor. I'm playing on 60Hz display but I was experiencing basically the same thing - if FPS dropped below 95-100 FPS, I experienced tearing. In my case, this was solved by enabling adaptive vsync in nvidia control panel.
