Anyone playing on dual core cpus here ? even all settings low its still insane low fps u get.. what else can u do? far cry3 on high settings runs like a dream compared to this.. dont think its that much better looking for it to run this bad... tryied the config tool from here doesnt help much most settings turned off.. really bad optimized game

Game in SP in quite heavy on CPU, a quadcore at 4.5 GHz is used at around 80% so dualcore is going to choke.

I upgraded my Core 2 Duo E8400@3.3 GHz because the Alpha was unplayable, no matter what settings I used. Even a triple core seems to give a good boost to performance in C3, but a quad-core is really recommended. Now with a Core 2 Quad Q8400@3.2 GHz (I purchased it in eBay for 86 €, shipping included) I'm doing quite well, but now my GPU is the problem (Radeon HD 5770).

Dual core CPUs are dead tech. Time for an upgrade... its not badly optimized, a dual core CPU just doesn't have enough power... and it won't get any better with future games. Its time to get something with 4 cores and hyper threading.
