I prefer the fy71 with fore grip, heavy barrel, and assault scope. I find that the spread is smaller on the fy71 at long distances than the scar. The scar is great for mid to close range. The slower fire rate of the fy71 makes it less desirable than other options but I do love the scar for what it is. Especially since it's the only weapon that I have additional skins for and they all look bad ass.

With Rapid Fire, you can pretty much eliminate the slow RoF of the FY71, but the Scar and Grendel pretty much dominate. Scar has dominated since C2, it was heavily used.

I did try the rapid fire on the fy71 but after I unlocked the heavy barrel attachment I never looked back. I used the typhoon for a while but the spread on that thing is horrible. Anything more than close range and it takes too many bullets. Close range and it raqes though. On cell vs rebel the most commonly used weapons are the typhoon, bow (way op in this mode by the way) , and guase rife. I use the fy71 and scar. The bow really is way op in cvr. It's a one hit kill anywhere on the body and damage doesn't decrease over long distances. It svcks.

The top weapons for me, are the Scar, Marshall, and Grendel. The Grendel feels slightly weaker than C2, whereas the SCAR now has amazing accuracy over range with the right setup. Without the single shot on the grendle I think the scar can be more accurate for me at least. Scar has been the general weapon of choice since C1. In C2 the grendel was a top competitor too.
The fy71 seems to be more balanced now than in C2, in C2 its hipfire with single shot + laser was horrifically overpowered, you could hipfire snipe people across the map :X.

Guass riffle if used right, can feel too strong but other times its inconsistent, its like a mix of the C1 and C2 guass riffle together. The bow, could end up being the most powerful weapon as if mastered it can dominate at almost every range.

I got shot and killed in the foot from across the map by someone with the bow. One shot, that was it. Definitely a little op in that regard. The damage should taper off at distance. Just like with sniper rifles. The damage tapers off on them.
