Low Profile 2

Post » Thu Feb 28, 2013 1:28 pm

So Low Profile level 2 says it provides heat signature protection against players who are using Nanovision. But since this games release I can't tell that anybody has ever taken me out with Nanovision. Nanovision is just simply not being used much at all at least on the 360. Nanovision needs to made more useful. Or If not, I think a better use for Low Profile 2 is to counter Proximity Alarm in some way. I don't mean that it would entirely negate PA because Low Profile would become overpowered. But just diminish it somehow. What do you think?

I'm just wondering why they didn't put a jammer instead.

I use nanovision once in several games when I know the other team be cloakin'.

Silly question - Could it be possible that no one used Nanovision to kill you simply because you don't ever use cloak?

I use cloak constantly. I don't know what NV is like on PC but on 360 it can very difficult to see someone who is cloacked

Radar jammer is the worst module ever conceived. Jamming your enemy's radar is an official declaration of your arrival. Inconspicuousness is very important in this game. Why use a module which allows your enemy to know that you're around the corner.

Back in Crysis 2, when my radar gets jammed, I immediately start cloaking and hide at a corner. I wait for that svcker to pass by and shoot him in the back.

Nanovision was more frequently used in C2 because cloak was a little OP back then. With Advance Cloaking module, you could run a very long distance in cloak. As such, more than half of the players in each game were almost constantly in cloak mode. I'm not talking about the campers. I was a runner and I stayed cloaked 80% of the time. Many were as well. Nanovision was more of a necessity. In Crysis 3 beta, cloak was underpowered. Nobody used it, and there was no need for Nanovision. In Crysis 3 full release, cloaked was buffed, but not as good as it was in C2. The habit of not using Nanovision was carried over from the beta, and so was the perception of how lousy cloak is.

When someone is using Jammer on me it can really disorient me in Hunter or Cry 2. It can be very useful to use but its actually not fun to use.

Radar jammer is ONLY good when your opponent uses max radar. And then again, people don't really rely on their radar to locate their enemies most of the time. So jamming their radar, especially when you're not marked on their radar, is just plain futile. And yet you let them know you're close by.

And even with that being said, i'm not sure the loss of inconspicuousness is worth denying your enemy (and only those who are close to you in proximity) his max radar.

And when you say you rock with it....have you actually compared your performance when not using it? I didn't say that people using max radar can't dominate, but generally, you're better off without it.

You get disorientated? Okay, if you're new to the game, and are unsure of the map layout...then maybe. Any of us who have played the game for a decent amount of time will know all the maps like the back of our hand. I don't think any of us use the map to navigate our way. And more than half the time, Max Radar isn't available, and you're forced to locate your enemies with your own eyes.

That's my opinion at least.
