Accuracy vs. Stablity

Can anyone clearly define the difference between these two stats?
Doesn't Stability directly correlate to lower recoil and Accuracy improve precision of your initial shots?

Have any of you noticed one being more beneficial than the other?

I thought stability was the recoil while the accuracy was the spread.

Actually.. My interpretation is this: Accuracy translates to recoil or reduction of recoil. Stability, so far as I can tell correlates to your ability to move, jump, slide while aiming with less weapon "sway" or movement.. Does that make sense? I am actually more of a stability kind of guy because I tend to jump over or around my targets either immediately or shortly into a firefight.. I do think "stability" accounts for a small amount of recoil reduction. Bit im pretty sure "accuracy" is almost exclusively related to recoil.. Don't quote me on that, that's just what I've gathered from experimenting.

Lol that makes sense too.. Idk why I didn't consider the spread :/ lool

I think it's fair to say that nobody knows for sure. I posted this question before and people said that Stability refers to the quickness of transitioning from holding the weapon while running to aiming it down, either by hipfire or by sight. An example if a weapon which does this poorly is MK60. However, I don't know how true is this definition.

I'm always torn in between Muzzle Brake and Match Barrel because i'm not really sure which of these two affects recoil

Thanks for the input guys, they seem to be open to a number of different plausible interpretations. It would be nice to have some kind of official clarification.

As far as I know, every game has it as such:

Stability is the amount of recoil you experience. Depending on how in-depth the game is, recoil can consist of many factors such as vertical kick, side to side recoil, first shot recoil, and the speed at which your recoil returns to its initial position. IDK how detailed C3's recoil management is, but thats stability.

Accuracy, typically means the deviation of each shot. This could be: the deviation of the first shot, the rate at which future shots deviate, what the maximum deviation is, how quickly your deviation returns to its best.

Ooh ooh! I spoke with Cry-JohnC about this. This what he said:

On stability:
Think of it as the reverse of recoil, we renamed it because we had a lot of UI issues late on with things like the Muzzle Brake reducing recoil which without hefty UI rewrites showed up as a negative (red) recoil reduction which was misleading.

We renamed it to Stability and reversed some attachment stats to comply.

So, stability corellates to reducing the recoil of your gun, which increases with sustained fire. Accuracy is how accurate your first shot is, and how good your decay stat is (how quickly your weapon's crosshair returns to the center of the screen after experiencing recoil).
