All settings on low, 30 fps...

Post » Thu Feb 28, 2013 10:14 pm

I really cannot play this game... I have ridiculous frame rate issues in single and multiplayer and i feel like i've wasted my money.

I have:

AMD 8320 @ 4.0GHZ
AMD HD7850

Regardless of Resolution/settings i get around 30fps in open areas, especially when looking at grass. If i look towards the sky then i still only get around 55fps on low. I thought it could be a CPU problem but i checked and it's not bottlenecking.

I dont know what to do because the issue happens regardless of in-game settings. Anyone have any ideas/ similar issues?

p.s before all the 690 owners tell me i need to spend more money, my setup can run BF3 at all high settings 1080p comfortably at 60fps... i dont need to upgrade.

Do you have V-sync on or off?

He should be getting better performance, my PC is much slower than his (Q8400@3.2 GHz, Radeon 5770) and my performance is better (50-60 fps at 1280x800). Something is wrong with his system/install/whatever.

First, update your drivers if they aren't already.
2. Download CVar Configurator.
3. Turn off every graphics feature there is and turn all value to the number associate with Low which you can view by hovering over the question marks under the graphics tweaking tab.
4. Set your resolution to 720 and vertical FOV to 79 in the config.
5. After you do that never touch the in game options again. If you need to adjust ANYTHING do it again in CVar. If you touch in game options it reverts to default.
6. If this doesn't make the game run you may have hardware issues.

1280x800 resolution omg your missing out !, the higher the resolution the higher the strain on your card=Fact ! and at your rtesolution being so low is no comparison

1280x800 is not a low resolution. 1024x600 is a low res. 1280x800 to 1920x1080 is not a big difference at all.
