Third person view bug

Post » Thu Feb 28, 2013 6:05 pm

I was wondering if anyone might have any info regarding a bug in Skyrim I am currently experiencing. When I sit down at a bar or picnic table style table in third person view, the camera goes on a really weird angle. I can turn it every direction, but unless I turn so that it's directly below my character, the most I can see of them is their head. I can even turn it so I can't see my character at all.

Has anyone else experienced this glitch? Any info on it or how to fix it? It is really annoying and I really don't want to have to start my game again.

EDIT: I'm on Xbox 360.

What system are you using? PC or console?

If you're on a console, hold down the right joystick and use the left one to swing the camera around. See if that helps at all.

Forgot to mention I'm on Xbox. That doesn't make a difference at all, sorry.

Only in terms of the controls for what I'm telling you to do to see if anything changes. Without sitting down switch to third person. Then hold down the right joystick and use the left one to draw the camera in and out. It might be that your camera view is just drawn in too far. After pulling the camera out go sit down and see if your view changed.

No, it's nothing like that, trust me. I've pulled it all the way in and all the way out. It still goes janky when I sit at a bar. It's fine on a bench or a regular seat.

UPDATE

So it seems to have resolved itself. I don't know how or why. Maybe it was just a reading error, like when Whiterun's main gate doesn't manifest, or something.

If there is a moderator reading this, this thread can be closed, deleted or whatever now. Thanks.

EDIT: I'd like to add it had been happening for a while before I came on here to inquire about a remedy. Google gave me nothing.
