Controller problems HELP!

Post » Sat Mar 02, 2013 5:44 pm

I finally bought Skyrim and FINALLY got it to load (this Steam thing svcks). The whole intro was jerky and when I finally got to where I could "create" my character, I had a heck of a time getting the cursor on the right spot to make selections. I barely moved it, and zoom it was across the screen. After much trying and cussing I finally got the damn thing to let me pick a couple of changes to hair and face and type in my character's name. Once the game started, it was no better. I went in and tried to change control settings but nothing I picked works, my cursor is still all over the dang screen and I keep running into walls and having trouble doing things, not to mention there is still a lag. I cannot play the game this way. Did I just waste my money on a crappy game? I have no problem playing Oblivion, it works great, but man so far Skyrim svcks...

Anyone have any solutions??

Are you using a mouse or a controller? Your title mentions a controller but your post seems to suggest a mouse.

What's your average FPS? If the intro itself was "jerky" then it sounds more like a framerate issue. Could you also post a dxdiag report?
