Shotguns are worthless

I'm under the impression that most game developers have ever fired a shotgun before. They have a tighter spread and have a better range—rather than only 5 ft. in front of the shooter—than what most video games depict. I'm supposed to kill a super-suited soldier with this garbage? This is cheesy Halo-worthy crap. Need I remind that that shotgun is a primary weapon? Make it worthwhile. Come on, Crytek, get with the program... please.

i think the alpha jackel is usable if you play to its strengths and get in close. just try using a couple different module set ups. i like to use point fire enhance, maneuverability, and proximity alarm. But i do understand what your saying about the whole range thing a slight increase in range probably wouldnt hurt.
