Hi all, so i ran into this problem when i'm about to play Skyrim today. So when i get in it says "new" instead of "continue", i almost feel like crying becuase of the progression i've lost xD.

But i ask around in some other forums for help and i get linked here, create an account and i'm now hoping for answers.

The thing is i still have some saved files in my saved games in my skyrim files, i'll describe them.

This is exactly what it looks like, and the last time i played was during 22:00 so it fits in, is there ANY way to restore those files into the game somehow? Please help me, be it employee or gamer !

Have you tried renaming them to remove the ".bak"?

I had someone tell me to remove .ess.bak becuase of them being backup files in another folder and then putting them back, sounds kinda risky though, could do it but if you could confirm to me what i should remove? Just the .ess.bak?

No problem. Sounds like the game didn't fully detect that the saving process was successful or something.
