Do you think that the Dragonborn would be a good candidate to lead the rebellion against the Thalmor? Just assume that the Dragonborn in this case has only completed the Main Quest, and maybe the Dragonborn DLC's MQ. Also, after that, what could/would that lead to? A more prominent role in things, or maybe the DB just walks away from it all. What do you think?
Edit: I am not really thinking about canon or stuff like that, I'm just saying theoretically would the DB be a good choice.
Another edit: I realize I didn't leave a choice for Thalmor supporters. Trying to think what that choice would be.

It's possible that he rallies both sides to instigate an attack against the thalmor, but then walks away afterwards.

Yeah, I mean with the power that the DB possesses, that definitely seems possible. Both the Empire and the Stormcloaks would most likely foam at the mouth if given a chance at destroying the Thalmor, especially with the DB on their side.

That could be a pretty epic moment.

This is one of the directions speculated in future DLC. If the rumors come to pass, then it is quite logical for the DB to forego a campaign against the Thalmor.

Several of the members in this forum have been pressing for closure of that very thing.

Yeah, but another thing about the thread is, what happens afterwards? Also, many people here on the forums think that it is just a dream that they would be able to do this during Skyrim.

Yeah, so you don't think either the Empire/Stormcloak leaders would want to lead (This isn't meant to start a SC/Empire discussion, just to ask a question). I'm with you, I think that the leaders from both sides would step down and let the Dragonborn lead them and show the Thalmor whats up.

Seeing as the Dragonborn appear to be a Shezzarine I don't think we could ask for a better agent to lead the battle against the Elves, since that is the one thing Shezzarines really do well. Well, killing elves and saving humanity from destruction in general at least.

That being said, is the Dragonborn the Thalmor's biggest fear? Because they sure don't show it (at least yet).

The Thalmor also lost more or less their entire invasion army and claim that they won the Great War, so don't think too much about it. Just bravado to appear stronger than they are.

This.

Would also be epic if it's started by some defiant and/or scared-out-of-his-mind little kid (possibly while the Thalmor executes a whole lot of people for Talos worship), like at the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDmOActAPxM

Yeah, but you would think they would at least make more of an attempt to kill you, as they saw your power increase. (Maybe they wouldn't, I actually have no idea) Also, say the Dragonborn leads the Rebellion. How much support do you think he would need? Would he need both sides, just one, or maybe none at all? Maybe the DB just rallies his allies and stomps them out.
