Alright, so a while back actually, I began noticing that the text in all of my scrolls weren't visible. I could see text in books, but no longer in scrolls. I thought that this might be some weird mod conflict, but reverting back to only the Bethesda .ESMs didn't fix the problem. So now I'm assuming it's a replacer gone wrong. I used to be having an issue with my book and scroll menu buttons being in Russian but I've since fixed that one; but I'm not sure if these two issues are related.

I'm really at a loss for what is causing this; since the text in books is working fine. I tried reverting back to vanilla textures for the scrolls background but it didn't make the text magically appear. So, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I don't really feel like deleting my entire textures folder to check to see if that's the issue. Though my best guess is that it's a texture overwrite issue of some sort.

Guess who just solved his problem right after getting frustrated enough to make a topic about the problem?

After posting I acted on a hunch that some replacer had included the mesh for the scroll menu but had moved it forward slightly, causing the scroll menu to render in front of the text. It looks like I was right. That mesh was in my meshes folder and after deleting it, the problem was solved! But, perhaps someone else will have the same silly issue as me one day and find this thread useful, before it gets trimmed.
