The Witchhunter's Diary - A Morrowind Playthrough

In an effort to get back into Morrowind - which I sadly left abandoned years ago with Bloodmoon unfinished - I have decided to catalog my adventures in this journal-style playthrough. Please enjoy.

Author's Note: The Main Character is a Altmeri Male of relative youth.

The boat deposited me in this sorry little backwater named Seyda Neen. I am left with only a a paltry sum of coins, the clothes on my back, and a package to deliver in a place called Balmora. A Bosmer immediately began questioning my intentions and reasons for being there, as well as nattering on about some ring the Legion had taken from him. Fortunately for him, I discovered the ring tossed carelessly in a barrel as though refuse on my way out of the building. It seems he has a relationship with the town's only trader, and has promised to put in a good word for me.

There is no work for me to be found here. I am a Witchhunter, not the local milita or a enforcer thug. As I have spent the meager coins I was given on a bow and some arrows, I shall have to find some way to scraqe up the coin to purchase a ride to Balmora on something called a Silt Strider, or walk to the town. Thankfully, I know much of plants and the properties there in, so I hope to have a sizable sum in short order.

The Bitter Coast region is aptly named, as it is turning into a bitter experience. The local fauna is abundant, but fundamentally worthless. While I'm sure there is plenty of demand for poisons that drain the stamina of the victim, they do little good here - where a cure common disease potion is worth its weight in gold. During my travels, I also happened upon the corpse of an Imperial - likely the tax collector for the town that was mentioned as being missing.

I returned the information to the town and learned of a 500 septim reward for justice to be done in the matter. I learned from the chatty Bosmer that the Tax Collector was spending much time in the light house, and from there learned who the prospective murderer lives.

While such work is usually not the realm of Witchhunters, I must ensure that this senseless killing (The taxes he had collected were still on his body, which is unusual to say the least) is not the result of some darker, more sinister purpose.

Prior to confronting this man, however, I will need more arms and better armor. Sadly, the ingredients I have assembled are a meager assortment of mushrooms and pulpy leaves...it appears I will have to solve the town's smuggling problem after all.

Hey, this is really cool. We all know the story of Morrowind and the vast majority of its quests, though this adds a nice character driven roleplay to it. Looking forward to more. This should, however, be in the Artwork and Fanfiction section.
