I play on a PS3 and maybe it's something about my lighting, but I have NEVER spotted a mining node of any type unless I happened to mouse over it so it was displayed. Is there something in particular I should be looking for? They are virtually invisible to me.

(On a separate note, anybody know how to get a custom location you've placed on map inadvertantly through a misclick to go away? It interferes with my ability to find quest locations b/c it shows up on my compass.)

1. They look visually different then the rest of the rocks. They are almost striped looking. That said, however, not every rock that looks that way is a node.

2. Click anywhere else on the map and select remove.
