My Dawnguard review ps3 verison. ( no spoilors )

Its been a long time coming, the longest wait out of all the dlc's, but is it worth the wait? I have to say, .....it is. The Dawnguard side was fun, the side missisons are fun for the most part & the side missions don't just feel phoned in & don't have any connection to the main storyline itself, they all feel like missions you have to do to some what of a degree. For me there was only one vampire attack throughout my playthrough of it & all most 15 guards took them out before i could get there. so for me vampire attacks aren't really a problem.
The soul carin is amazing & really i could of been in there for hours just looking around. Theres a few side quests in there but to me nothing really to write home about. The new dragon weapons are great, crafting arrows awesome. the two sides main quests pretty much the same nothing really changes to much & for some that could a big turn off for them.
The vampire side, was awesome, the side quests for them are funnier then the dawnguards, i think. this has really revamped ( no pun intended ) the vampire. The one downer i have is you can't turn who you want into a vampire, its a quest. that disappointed me a little, i have to be honest.
Now with ALL that being said, is it worth 20 bucks? ....... mmmm...I'd say yes it is. with all the connect you get its a great deal & worth the wait, I give Skyrims Dawnguard dlc a 4.5 out of 5. I really hope there was no spoilors in this, i tried my best not to add any. I hope the rumors are true & theres going to be another dlc coming because i can't wait to play it. Please tell me your thoughts on this dlc what did you think of Dawnguard?

I thought it was amazing. TBH, I was looking forward to DG more than Dragonborn. It has Dragonbone Weapons (Best looking IMO), the face changer, and new armors.

The Soul Cairn was something I didn't like. Too boring. I gonna have to back in there to find all the "letters".

I am not a fan of vampires / werewolves especially when they are stereotyped after some recent movie series that is like a romance novel. :)
The quests are different and add a flavor of another sort to skyrim. I find it interesting and fun. Serena is awesome.
But, it is too intrusive. I have had vampire attacks every time I fast travel to a city and npcs have died.
It takes away from most of the rp I do. So I am forced to do the quest line in a linear fashion and walk into cities from nearby. I am used to that from the skyrim MQ but at least there I have the option not to start it or to limit attacks by limiting progression. As a general comparison the skyrim MQ can be ignored and you still have an open world game to explore to your hearts content. Dg forces you into changing your playstyle and conform to a linear progression to get past the MQ. Ruins all rp unless you are into romanticized vampires.
Though I do love the addition of a lot of the items dg brings such as DB weapons, face change, etc I have to give it a meh for a review because of it's negative impact on open world gaming.
