I have played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. But i only got into the series after the release of Skyrim.
My question is, what was the opinion of you, fans, about these mysterious Scrolls before Skyrim?
I mean. In the main quest of Morrowind and Oblivion nobody ask for an Elder Scroll, the first is Parthunax in Skyrim. (I know that Gray Fox makes you stole one, but even there it isn't THAT important in the story)
