Love Skyrim, I mean I really looooooove this game. But something is troubling me, and maybe you can help?
So I decided to make a brand new character. Wanted to choose a vampire type character (again), so I started by doing the dawnguard quests. Very shortly after starting, I got to the following radiant quest:
Dawnguard radiant vampire quest: new allegiances (they send you out to make someone a vampire by biting them)
I did it once, and the second time I got the same radiant quest the quest giver asked me to GO CONVERT THE SAME PERSON INTO a vampire..... the SAME PERSON! THE PERSON IS ALREADY A VAMPIRE NOW.. so the quest bugs out and you can't complete it.
My question is, I had this same problem with this same quest nearly SIX months ago. I had to fix it with console commands (luckily I'm on PC) or the only OTHER solution is to use the UNOFFICIAL Dawnguard Patch.
So ... my question is... Why on Earth, would something so game breaking, go UN-Patched by Bethesda? What if I was on Xbox and couldn't download UNofficial patches, or use a console? If I was on Xbox, I wouldn't be able to do ANY more radiant quests? Honestly, why would something like this go unattended? It's the second time I'm dealing with it, and if I was on Xbox it could have wiped out a huge chunk of radiant quests for the Dawnguard expansion.
Anyone have any insight? Are unofficial patches seen from Bethesda as REQUIRED to play Skyrim?
Sorry about the rant, but this just doesn't make sense to me?
