New Character Idea

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 7:46 am

I'm thinking about starting a new character, I usually play the stealthy kind of characters with Illusion - Invisibility / 1H or Bow's..

Usual Skill Tree's

1. Sneak
2. One-Handed
3. Archery
4. Lockpicking
5. Illusion

I always take heavy damage when out of stealth and in the middle of combat as I never specialise if Light or Heavy armor skill tree's. (Taking heavy damage on the lowest difficulty at level 35!).

I am thinking of trying a whole new play style which I have never ever done as I wouldn't exactly like the idea of not being a sneak as I always have been one since Oblivion!

I am thinking of a Warrior based character, most likely built like this:

Skill Tree's:

1. One-Handed
2. Block
3. Heavy Armor
4. Blacksmithing
5. Lockpicking

I am 100% new to a non-sneak type of character and play style!

I plan to use a 1H sword with a Shield and for Range attack most likely a Mage follower or Archer like Serana.
I will rely on Health potions for healing as I always do even on my Sneak character unless I'm in long fights with heavy damage then I will use some restoration healing spells.

Please get back to me all you really knowledgable and experienced Warriors out there! I need your help! :D

Thanks x

No reply because you posted OP bloody 12 minutes ago. Don't bump your threads, especial so quickly - it makes people angry and aggressive. This is a forum, not an IRC channel.

As for your build, seems pretty generic. Can't really throw more of an opinion there. Sounds like my typical build - sneaking is for sissies and with some method of healing at your back you are unlikely to meet excessive trouble unless you're brain dead or something.

EDIT: Although, I would advice you not to invest a single perk to Lockpicking. You don't need it. Better spend your points on something useful like Restoration.

I have a few characters similar to that.

Don't put any perks into Lockpicking though. You will never need money in this game and you'll never need help opening a lock. Those perks would be completely wasted.

Smithing
Heavy Armor
One Handed
Blocking

All you really need. If you get good at blocking and add a few perks you can kill a sabercat with just bashing. Quite fun actually. I also love using bash to interrupt opponents power attacks. That alone will save you over and over again.

Just put points in Health and Stamina when leveling. Bashing and Power Attacks will require a lot of Stamina.
