in the beta i was getting matched with players from all over the globe.

As a UK player i do not expect to be matched with players in Japan, USA, Chile or Brazil. I expect to be matched with players in Europe only.

I have gone as far as banning friends from other regions except for EU when the game arrives to cut down potential lag and mis matched matchmaking. There will only be me and a few others in the lobby as we are all from UK/EU. Hopefully this will keep the lag down to a minimum.

All in all we need a dev to come on here and answer these questions and to put our minds at rest as to what has been done regarding the original topic?

Yep i did play the beta and it was terrible, after the server side fix it was a little better but not enough to play it.

a few days before the end of the beta it was much improved and a lot smoother.

What frightens me now is the fact that PS3 players are reporting massive frame rate drops, this is worrying and is making me regret my purchase.

This is Crysis 2 all over again, it looks like nothing has been learnt from then and with no major improvements i may be trading this back within a week.

Again, if a dev were to come on and announce that a major update both server and client side was due to combat these issues it would make things better but it looks like the Crysis 2 scenario all over again.

so your saying that a patch is in the works to fix framerate, lag and matchmaking issues?

thats not very reassuring.

May i ask what position you are in with regards to Crytek, just wondering as i see you on here often?

I don't work for Crytek , just an educated guess from the Q&A threads, try emailing some of the staff for more details or to get their attention to your concerns.

already done this, the only thing i cannot do is prioritize the internet access or QOS. I can however put my 360 onto DMZ.

BT home hub 3, Infinity if you have any pointers?

Turn off the Firewall and anything that slows down data packet speed, google Data Packet Speed and Gaming

BT Home Hub is great, overall all you gotta do is wait till Friday now
