That really only applies to the laptops and all-in-ones where they are using an integrated chipset rather than an actual modular graphics card. I have an old Dell XPS 420, and I've upgraded the graphics card a couple of times, and I've also swapped the original 8800GTX from that system into a different PC that I use for work. The cards that Dell uses in their towers are no different than any other video card that you would buy off the shelf.
Go to the Nvidia drivers web site and have it scan your system to find the appropriate driver. If for any reason your system was not compatible, it would tell you. Otherwise, you should download the new driver from a few days ago (314.07), as it has specific improvements for Crysis 3.
