best to disable in-game v sync and use 'adaptive' v sync through the nv control panel for this game, i find adaptive works excellent with very little tearing.
Once you have your in-game settings to your taste use the CVar configurator to tweak the settings further.
Sometimes a level will be choppy the first few secs but don't worry.
I set a 60fps limit with the configurator.
