i have tried overclocking ,underclocking, veryhigh ,low ,cvar tweaker absolutley everything!!

the thing just drops fps every couple of minutes have to esc out of fullscreen and back but happens over and over on multi/single

the worst thing is i just bought x2 7950 windforce for this game!! and it doesnt even have decent playability (an i no i can play with 1 but i want the quality of 2) "whole point of payin close to 500 spuds for gfx cards".

i am not angry though as i no from playin beta (which was better fps/stability wise) on crossfire 6970s, the game looks amazing and i no i will enjoy it when it gets fixed either by drivers or game update


i get 90fps on bf3 all ultra and 4xmsaa with my rig with both cards clocked at 1200/1500 and amd fx8120 @ 4ghz 16gb of ram

any input is apreciated

What do you mean, decent playability? Low fps? crashing? BSoD? I'm running crossfire 6950s (2gb versions) in eyefinity and crushing this game. Can't put on FSAA or fps drops, but if I drop to 1920x1080, then most AA runs fine. Some slight drop in fps, but it doesn't kill it. When you said you have overclocked, underclocked, etc, are you only referring to your graphics card? Or are you OCing your CPU as well? If your CPU is overclocked, try bringing it back down within normal parameters. I noticed some problems when I fired up C3 and my CPU was OC'd. I brought it back down and the game ran fine. Maybe C3 just isn't optimized enough for OCing yet on the CPU end. However, check the basic ****. Make sure your crossfire connector is solid, make sure you have crossfire enabled. Make sure your cards are seated properly. Make sure you are not having any overheating problems. Make sure you have the newest drivers off of AMD's site. 13.6 beta.

Also, getting 90fps in B3 is not the same as getting 90fps in C3. Two different engines, 2 very different games. The Frostbite engine has had YEARS to be optimized and they've done a fine job at it.

frames drop from 100 to say 35-40 then back up in crossfire and 60 to 25-30 on single

got beta 6

cpu and gpu i have tried returning to normal clocks and overclocking cpu and gfx still the same

all connections are ok as bf3 works

also i dont get this problem in crysis 2


i never used aa in any testing i am on a 1440p monitor aswell and it still does it when i use 1080p

When the frames drop, is it at the beginning of a level? I get that through most beginnings of chapters. Seems fluent for the game across all cards and PC types. I don't think that Crytek has covered every scenario just yet, thus a little more optimization will be needed. Try using FSAA. FSAA is optimized for AMD cards. MSAA is optimized for Nvidia cards. If you haven't used an AA yet, then try bumping it up. Higher end cards do better when they have a workload to accomplish. Also, if you're running FRAPS or anything in the background to check your fps', that as well could be the problem. If nothing else, there is another post on this forum about possible workarounds and fixes. You will just have to scroll for it. The title says it all.

It's not specifically a Crossfire issue I'm afraid. In several areas in the campaign and even some multiplayer maps. I can turn one direction and have 70-80FPS and then turn 90 degrees and drop down to 40-50FPS. I have a single 7850, I've read the same FPS drop issues from AMD/Nvidia single cards and multi-card setups. It's the game, not your system.

lets hope its fixed sharpish or it will be another fafcry3 mess
