ERRATIC GPU USAGE

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 9:38 pm

Hi I meet the minimum specs for the game but it doesn't run well at all. I've noticed GPU usage is erratic which would explain why. I have the latest 314.07 driver so things should be ok. Any fix?

88.0 C is pretty warm. Not game breaking but getting close to the line. Have you tried to scale back your settings?

Also, what are your other specs? CPU, RAM, HDD? You could have a bottleneck somewhere.

88C? Perhaps its time for a case cleanout.

Yes I have tried lowering settings... it doesn't help much. I meet the minimum requirements:

Intel Core i5-3210M @2.5-3.1GHz
6GB DDR3 RAM @1600MHz
NVIDIA GT 650M 2GB (OC 1084/1102)
Crucial M4 256GB
Windows 8 Pro 64 bit

Temps are normal for my laptop when overclocking. I recently had it repasted so that's as cool as it'll ever get. The GPU is overclocked but it's stable for every other game including Crysis 1 & 2, so should be fine here too.

You have a decent setup for a laptop to at least play on lower settings. I didn't even notice it was a 650M (mobile) GPU so now I see why it's getting so hot.

It could be that the drivers for the 650M just aren't optimized for C3 yet. I'd check around the net to see if anyone else is having similar issues.
