Weired graphic bugs

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 7:07 pm

Hello,

i always get graphics errors at the section, where you have to search a Nanosuit moulde in the skinning lab. It randomly places textures and slows down the FPS as hell. Sadly a restart didnt help, and a Origin Repair also did not change anything. This is freaking annoying. Any Fix? Newest Graphics drivers are installed.
Happedend to me first time in the whole game. And sadly i does not go away :(

Rig:
AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 @ 3.4 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6950 @ 955MHz (Tested with and without OC - no change!)
16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengence Ram

Game everything on Very High, 2x MSAA, Very High Textures(No change when changing any settings).

Here is a link to a YT-Video where you can see what i mean:

FIX: Set Object Details to anything lower than Very High! (At least that worked for me ;D)

I also get this issue except for the framerate drop; that only happens when I get near Psycho. The game has been playable with good framerates up to the Dam level. These texture boxes are everywhere and obscure the entire playing field. Everything is on very high except post processing and shading which are on high. I have a similar rig so maybe it's a driver issue.

My Rig:

AMD 8150FX 3.6Ghz
Sapphire AMD 6950
8 GB Corsair DDR3

Ya that's what I was saying, both bulldozer CPUs and GPUs; although my motherboard isn't technically a "bulldozer" motherboard. I've got an ASUS M4A89GTD-PRO USB3, and it got a BIOS update that let's me use a FX processor in my AM3 socket. It's become a lot more stable since the beta BIOS was released. Really the weird thing is how, on my machine, how it lags whenever I'm near Psycho. I think it might be something with the drivers, maybe a patch could fix it; but it seems to me something's going screwy in the rendering arena. I could be wrong though..

I just tried to play further, but once i was in that moulde (was a struggle to get in with ~10FPS) I only see green, be cause it seems that psyco's wiered bugs "expand" to other geometry aswell. I really hope there is a fix soon...

EDIT: I was in another thread a few seconds ago and the person there, had a Intel CPU, BUT a HD6990, so maybe this issue is not Bulldozer related, but (only?)for the 6900series? I dont know about his ram though. 16GB of anything^^ I am waiting for his reply. Maybe we can track down the issue like this.

Hmmnnn... Very interesting!

I'm running an FX 8350 and Radeon HD 7970; never experienced anything like this. Since I troubleshoot PC's for a living (I love my job!) I'd like to help you guys out! Here's what I'd like from each of you, if you're okay with some help:

Catalyst Control Center version #
Catalyst Control Center CAP # (if installed)
Motherboard Model and BIOS revision
GPU Models and Firmware versions
CPU and GPU clock speeds
dxdiag results (copy/pasted from each tab)
OS version
Reliability results, found here: Control Panel\System and Security\Action Center\Reliability Monitor
- this last one should be for the entire month; post everything (pictures are always good)

As i edited in: It seems that the 6900 series Radeon is the factor.

Driver verison: 13.2 (12.10.17-130202a-152920E-ATI)
ADM Vision CP version: 2013.0202.1542.28118
Mobo: Asus Crosshair V with newest BIOS
Ram: Corsair Vengence DDR3-1600 16GB
GPU: Image
CPU: AMD FX-8120 @3,4 GHz
OS: Windows 8 Pro WMC
Reliability Monitor is clean. No issues there

EDIT: Oh man, in the "Gods and monster"("G?tter und Monster" in german) level this breaks the game, Flopping Textures all over the place, you cannot see any path youhave to go an always fall down. I'm now pretty sure this is a drivers fault. Though i have never expierinced similar issues with any game, even on my current driver...
