r_DrawNearFOV keeps resetting after death

thought I would make this to the attention of the cryteam, atleast hopefully they will give some recognition to fixing this as they seem to love **** us around with FOV, atleast give us this fix?

if anyone knows of a work around or something to keep it from resetting after death please let me know, thanks

That has been part of the CryEngine at least since Crysis 1. The only way to change it, I think, is with the game's Mod SDK. If you're lucky, then the code is in an lua file.

Same things happened in Crysis 2 btw. the only way to prevent that was to set up the r_drawnearfov via FG and each time you were switching weapons.

Now, a lot of players should support, and ask for a Crysis 3 mod sdk...

and BTW using r_drawnearfov to solve the "in your face huge weapon crap style" keep be a pretty poor band-aid because the fov distord a lot the weapon. which clearly look terribad.

So yeah, Crytek listen the community.. sure.
