Ok finally got my game up and running and lo and behold I cant run nor can I jump. Now if I go into control options, there it reconizes that im pressing the spacebar and other buttons but in gameplay I cant use my space bar to jump even though its tagged to and other buttons who respond either.

I can jump into every other game and the game reconizes that im pressing those buttons but fonv its not.

Make sure the 360 controller is disabled, including Rumble. I think you can do this in the controls, but it might require an INI tweak to disable the gamepad and rumble (search for both those items in the ini's)

mmmm weird, never had a controller ever plugged up to my pc. Will take a look and hopefully thats it.

Stock, the game has provisions for a gamepad. Problem is, if it's enabled, then the game is looking for that input. I can't play Fallout 3 or Skyrim unless I disable the controller. I can't remember how I did this in New Vegas.

If that is not it, then perhaps there is a background app running that intercepts your keyboard strokes. Some gaming keyboards (and Microsoft keyboards) come with this software. It is used to assign macros or different keys, that kind of thing.

sigh......................lock this thread. found the problem. it was a mod that i installed that comes with ingmae placement or on charcter at start placement. so naturally i was overemcumbered to jump or run and it was to soon in charecter creation to sneak and such.
