What do you do when you acquire the setup you want?

Post » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:03 am

Everytime i make a new character its like....Oh man i cant wait to get "this armor" and "that weapon"! But when i finnaly get what i want, i dont know what to do with it. All i can do is attack bandit camps. Surely there must be more worth striving for? I need BIGGER bosses. When i fought the ebony warrior i was so pumped. I want that feeling again. I dont want to have to use bandit camps/draugr dungeons to kill things. I need more excitement.

Ideas? Also i cant mod.

I place the blame on your pre-occupation with the goal, rather than the journey.

Don't get me wrong, that is where my fun is! That's why i have a billion characters. But i would like to be able to stay with a character longer.

The I would suggest starting a character with no goal, and just see where the game takes you. Engage in a little role play. You'll find some interesting self stories will come out of it.

Focusing on combat in TES is focusing on the wrong thing.

Roleplay, the journey is the focus not the destination.

To me when my vision is actually finished that is when it is most fun to play the game.

The chase is better than the catch.

I don't aim for any particular item or quest - I let my character make the decisions, and see what happens. In my book, it's far more enjoyable and rewarding.
