Talk about a scam

First off, I already own a physical copy of Crysis 1. Last night, before the game released, I decided to go ahead and pay for and preload Crysis 3. It automatically added Crysis 1 to my cart with the preorder promotion. At the final checkout page it said 59.99 for Crysis 3, and that Crysis 1 was originally supposed to cost 19.99, but was 0.00 with the promotion. On the order confirmation page my total was 59.99. After clicking submit it then decided to go ahead and charge me 79.98. Trying to get through to EA customer support but that is proving to be a hastle.

Not to mention this game doesn't even work correctly. Even on all low settings, low textures and no AA, the game runs like absolute crap. It constantly stutters, and even just standing still my frame rates are jumping and dropping all over the place. I have an SLI setup, but even with disabling that and just running 1 GPU my frame rates are all over the place making the game pretty much unplayable. Most other games run just fine, like Battlefield 3 runs pretty flawlessly. I did a clean driver install with running Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode and all. I don't have time to mess with anything right now, I'll probably reformat tonight once I get off work.

And the damn aiming is still screwed up like in the open beta. It's like they forgot how ADS sensitivity was supposed to work. Sensitivity while ADS'ing is supposed to be lower than just running around, the whole point of ADS'ing is so you can be more precise. It's just the same sensitivity all around in this game.

Really starting to question the integrity of the video game industry. Seems like you get scammed left and right with companies that release games that don't even work properly. And if it's not profitable enough they don't even bother trying to fx it with patches. I get it at this point that multi GPU configurations are an absolute waste of money because the support is horrible and most games don't use it properly (wish someone would have told me that before I threw down a couple hundred more dollars on another GPU), but even with a single GPU a lot of games seem to have problems. If companies find that consoles are more profitable and PC is just an afterthought then just don't make the game for PC rather than scamming people with crap that doesn't work because you don't find it worthwhile to invest in it. I really wish I would have pirated this game first, realized it was crap, and just stayed away from it rather than being out 80 bucks now. THIS IS WHY MOST PEOPLE PIRATE GAMES. Rather than forcing all sorts of DRM why not try making your games actually work?

Truly sorry to hear that happened dude :\ I'm sure you've thought of this but new drivers were released by Nvidia last night for Crysis 3. Did you get those installed?

So finally got ahold of EA customer support and they told me it wasn't a pre-order. So I asked why did it automatically add Crysis 1 to my cart then? And that it's ridiculous that what I agreed to paying was different than what I actually paid. They told me I could try getting a refund at a later date.

And yeah, I already did a clean install of the new 314.07 Nvidia drivers, still runs like complete crap. Even on lowest settings (Low textures, low graphics settings, no AA, still at 1920x1080 though) it has serious problems with stuttering and random severe drops in frame rates.
